Sunday Service with Pastor Ab's
This evening’s service was truly a blessing, with Pastor Ab delivering a sermon that opened up the scriptures in a remarkably insightful way. He delved into Matthew 1:19, exploring the characters of Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Pastor Ab’s interpretation was particularly striking, illustrating how natural emotions would have played out in such a challenging situation. Remarkably, Joseph behaved honourably and discreetly.
God knows precisely what’s needed in every situation and this young couple possessed the perfect qualities for this incredible honour. Mary’s unquestioning obedience and Joseph’s unflappable outlook, love and respect for his betrothed Mary, by taking her as his wife to assay the chance of wagging tongues. And the strength of character to not have any sexual relationship until after the birth of Jesus who is the Christ of God.
And then there is the main character Jesus.
There is one constant thread that binds this trio together and that is the unquestioning obedience to the One who is overall and blessed forever. Not a whine or a whinge was heard just, " so be it according to your word.
Let us all, as children of God, be so like-minded in Jesus’ name.
Another amplified element is God’s faithfulness. Throughout scripture, prophecies are fulfilled exactly as foretold without error or deviation. This makes all remaining prophecies a 100% certainty. Therefore, it’s our responsibility to preach this Gospel to everyone so we’re not found with our neighbours’ blood on our hands.
